Eurotech has been working with Intel Corporation as an early adopter of the Low Power IntelŪ Architecture (LPIA). As a result of this work Eurotech Ltd will be offering the ISIS and PROTEUS products later this year.

ISIS is a PC/104+ single board computer and PROTEUS is available as a standalone or COM-Express module. Both harness the low power capabilities of the IntelŪ AtomT next generation chipset but also offer x86 compatibility in a fan-less design. Both the ISIS and the PROTEUS offer the level of functionality and performance you would traditionally expect from a high performance x86 board, but at reduced power consumption of less than 5 watts.

A key feature of the ISIS and the PROTEUS is their full compatibility with a wide range of operating systems that include ...

VMETRO, a leader in high-speed data recording systems and rugged storage devices, announced the availability of a 6U VME-based quad channel Serial Front Panel Data Port (sFPDP) data recorder and playback system that sustains 800MB/s data recording rates. Based on VMETRO´s Vortex VXS/VME data recorder, the quad sFPDP data recorder architecture is scalable to enable increased throughput performance by duplicating the configuration within the same chassis. Embedded systems designers developing signal intelligence, radar, sonar or image processing applications often digitize sensor data then transport it using sFPDP links. Utilizing the Vortex data recording solution, embedded systems designers can quickly and easily record raw or processed data to storage for analysis.
